Corneli Primary School in Bridgend supported World Fairtrade Day (12th May 2012) by organising a Fairtrade afternoon tea for parents, governors and also their local MP. Homemade Fairtrade cakes and biscuits were sold as well as Fairtrade tea and coffee. Leaflets were given out to promote Fairtrade products and encouraging parents to ‘Take a Step for Fairtrade’. Pupils competed in a ‘Design a Fairtrade Cupcake’ competition with the support from their parents and carers. What a wonderful event for the whole community!
