This year Wrexham celebrates 10 years as a Fairtrade Zone and Wales celebrates 5 years as a Fairtrade Nation. The Wrexham Fairtrade Coalition held a Great Welsh Fairtrade Bake Off to give secondary schools the opportunity to join in the celebrations!

June 6th 2008 and Wales became the world’s First Fair Trade Nation. An incredible achievement, it marked a commitment from National Government to local communities, Schools to Councils, Business to Faith groups. Five years on and campaigners from across the country took their seats amid the party paraphernalia to celebrate once again.
